GET A MAST PERMIT

The WSLCB requires you to obtain a permit within 60 days of your initial hire. To get a MAST Permit for the first time, you must take a certified course and pass the WSLCB's final exam. Get started today by enrolling in our new, easy online course.

RENEW YOUR MAST PERMIT

Types of MAST Permits

Our online course certifies you to get either a Class 13 or Class 12 MAST Permit.

Washington

Class 13 Server Permit

Class 13 permit (18 to 20 years of age). This permit allows you to:

  • Take alcohol orders
  • Deliver alcoholic beverages
  • Pour beer or wine from a can or bottle into a customer's glass
  • Sell alcohol
  • You are eligible to upgrade to a Class 12 permit once you turn 21

Washington

Class 12 Mixologist Permit

Class 12 permit (21 and over). This permit allows you to:

  • Perform all the duties included in the Class 13 permit
  • Mix drinks and pour spirits
  • Draw alcohol from a tap
  • Conduct alcohol tastings
  • Manage the establishment

Preventing Drunk Driving Through Education
