Renew Your MAST Permit With Craft Serving

MAST-Server

HAS IT BEEN FIVE YEARS?

Let’s cut to the chase and assume that you already used our MAST Permit Checker to lookup the status of your MAST Permit.

Either you discovered that your MAST Permit is about to expire or that it has already expired (whoops 😬).

You know what that means!

It’s Time to Renew Your MAST Permit!

REASONS TO RENEW YOUR MAST PERMIT NOW

Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) is required by law.

Anyone not possessing a required MAST Permit may receive a criminal citation with a maximum $500 monetary penalty or up to 90 days in jail or both the fine and imprisonment.

Your employer may also incur a monetary fine, license suspension, or both.

1. There Is No Grace Period to Obtain a New Permit Once Your Permit Expires

The Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board (WSLCB) offers a 60-day grace period to new hires that need to get a MAST Permit for the first time, but there is no grace period for alcohol servers once their permit is expired.

Consequently, it is suggested that you begin the process of renewing your MAST Permit 45 to 60 days prior to its expiration. This will help eliminate time without a valid permit.

2. An Expired MAST Permit Is Not a Valid MAST Permit

The WSLCB requires you to have a valid MAST Permit and form of ID readily available for inspection by law enforcement any time you perform the duties that include the sale, service or handling of alcohol.

3. Memory Fades & Liquor Laws Change

A lot can happen in five years. You’ve learned new things. You’re older and wiser. But as far as MAST Permit training goes, chances are you’ve forgotten a few things and there have been some new changes to Washington State’s liquor laws.

WHY RENEW WITH CRAFT SERVING

Now time for some good news!

Unlike most other MAST Courses, ours does not have timers on each page. That means, since you are already familiar with most of the information, you can breeze through it as quickly as you please.

Sip, sip hooray!

STEPS TO RENEW YOUR MAST PERMIT

Renewing your MAST Permit is super easy! In fact, the steps to renew are exactly the same as getting a MAST Permit for the first time.

Step 1 – Take the course.
Step 2 – Pass the exam.
Step 3 – Receive your permit.

You can retake training from the same MAST provider or you can choose a new one. Keep in mind, everyone’s course is a little different.

After you pass the course and exam, your MAST provider will mail you a new permit that is good for another five years.
